Another Winter has past and it was time to harvest some vegies in my garden and prepare them for eating! Today I harvested spring onions, spinach, kale, lettuce, buk choy, Chinese cabbage, mini broccoli and the end of the mizuna.
This ‘crop’ was grown in 3 wine barrels and a small garden bed in our courtyard. Just goes to show that you don’t need much space to enjoy having a vegetable garden. Everyone should get on the vegetable growing train!
I won’t be doing much planting for Spring (only the snow pea vine and a few herbs will remain) as my husband and I have bought a house of our very own… and there is HEAPS of room in the backyard for a BIG vegetable garden. Woohoo! We move in just over 2 months and I look forward to sharing my new gardening adventures with you (plus cooking in a different kitchen).
